Last nights dinner and digital discussions was hosted at Surry Hills favourite The Winery in partnership with Yoghurt Digital and Mobile Digital. With some of Australia’s leading merchants in attendance, from Harris Farm Market to PE Nation, we were delighted to play host to such forward thinking discussions around digital marketing and company culture. We are so pleased that so many of our clients and new faces arrived at the venue to participate in the evenings theme.
With a keynote opening from John Ball, the Managing Director for Google Marketing in APAC, a panel discussion featuring Sandradee from St Frock, Elle from MJ Bale and Nick from Booktopia, we had some of Australia’s highest profile ecommerce leaders in the room and the energy was buzzing.
We were so delighted to see such powerful networking happening between retailers who wouldn’t usually meet, PE Nation and St Frock, 1001 Optical and Sheike, and to hear so many ideas being thrown around for collaborations and new digital marketing tools and AI.
We wanted the dinner to be thought provoking, collaborative and intimate so merchants could meet and network in a relaxed environment without the distraction of vendor sales. Here at MindArc, we want to encourage partnership and innovation in our industry and we are so proud that we were able to bring so many leaders together.
Our panel discussion touched on the importance of company culture and how it affects the bottom line as well as the strategic selection of which AI tools to incorporate into your digital marketing. Sandradee from St Frock put it quite nicely when she commented that her customers just want to buy a dress, do they really expect her to be featuring all the latest AI tools in terms of visual search on her site too? Or do they just want to land on the site, find the dress and check out?
Nick pitched in with some fantastic insights about data acquisition and how to create a buzz in his unique company culture with book signings and events and how he’s bringing more innovation into such a traditional industry. Elle had a great key takeaway for all the attendees to bear in mind when faced with an array of new tool and platforms you should be completely honest with yourself about the state of your business and if you actually have the time or resources to invest in such tools.
We’re expecting our photographer to have our images ready next week, so keep an eye out for more photos soon!
