Having been in the business for 25 years, 1001 Optical was ready to take the next step with their online presence. Operating on a WordPress site for content and presence more than ecommerce, 1001 Optical needed not only a new solution but a new partner to guide them through the development of setting up and maintaining an online product catalogue and fulfilment process. With 18 retail outlets across Sydney and Melbourne, there was no question that 1001 Optical had a stronghold in the bricks and mortar market – our task was to cement them as an industry leader in the online space.
WordPress to Magento:
1001 Optical approached us in August 2016 with a unique set of requirements. With a strong focus on their need to provide their audience with a seamless online experience which would mimic the in-store experience, we spent a lot of time in their stores getting under the skin of their customers and gathering inspiration from their innovative interiors. With brilliant check-up and prescription lens services in store, our senior architects quickly developed custom solutions to integrate this into the user journey online.
Throughout the project process, we worked closely with key stakeholders from the 1001 Optical Team to immerse ourselves in the individual requirements for each team member. Starting with a thorough understanding of the Founder’s vision for the site, our team of UX Designers created a unique front-end experience for the re-launch of 1001 Optical which was compounded by custom functionality from our UI and Functional Developers.
In August 2017, we had an incredibly successful and smooth go-live thanks to extensive pre-planning and importing data for customers, products and orders as well as CMS content ahead of time.
We are delighted with the success 1001 Optical have discovered since moving to Magento 2 and are proud to partner with them.
From the very beginning, the work Sean presented on the analysis of our business and our website at that time, placed him in Poll Position to correctly determine the accurate needs of our organisation. We knew at that time that we had stumbled across a unique organisation.
Throughout the website development journey, Sean, Matt and their team unravelled the complexities of the digital space advising us at every step of the journey. Their knowledge on Magento 2 and the e-commerce field was inspiring and created a great learning experience for us along the way.
MindArc’s knowledge and involvement in the digital space puts them are at the forefront of this field and therefore have been able to recommend highly specialised associated organisations to partner with us in our total digital strategy. They have even assisted us in determining the best fit for our business working through short listed applicants with us.
After the initial launch of our website, MindArc have continued their support and advice on growing our business and have also advised us on other business opportunities along the way.
We are delighted that we have chosen MindArc to build our new website and we look forward to a continued partnership with Sean, Matt and their team as we grow our business and navigate through the website and e-commerce mine field.
