We recently hosted a Brunch & Bellini’s Event with our partners Shopify Plus at the beautiful Centennial Homestead Wisteria Room.
We wanted the event to inspire all attendees to innovate on the Shopify platform, through eCommerce and marketing and as such we asked some of Australia’s leading retailers to address our attendees.
Our keynote speaker was Travis Wright of Esther & Co., who delivered an exceptional presentation on the topic of accelerated growth. Travis covered topics such as marketing growth initiatives, the importance of partnership and the necessity of safe-guarding your own time. She tied all of her points together to reveal her over-arching strategy for Esther & Co. and gave some key takeaways for our guests.
Define your next big win. Look to industry standards and your customer’s feedback. Create your ideal structure and build it. Research best practice and tailor your findings to suit your brand. Execute! Take the plunge and make sure you have your safety nets in place in case you need them.

Traditionally, you see rows of seats at industry events. Not here! We wanted to encourage collaboration and thoughtful discussion at round tables.
As major foodies ourselves, we would never let our guests go hungry! We provided cheese and fruit platters, miniature avocado on toast, Roquefort tartlets, banana and honey smoothies and plenty of Bellini’s..

We have been partners with Shopify for over a year now and have enjoyed some incredible successes together. When we found out the whole Plus team would be in Sydney for Online Retailer, we jumped at the chance to co-host an event.
At MindArc, we focus on partnership and innovation and we wanted our event to be reflective of that. We wanted our guests to feel relaxed in their peaceful surroundings of Centennial Parklands and connect with their peers over brunch & bellini’s.
To encourage partnership, we asked some of Australia’s leading retailers to speak at our event. Travis from Esther & Co., Chris from FCS, Matt from Hello Molly and Paul from Shopify Plus candidly discussed their opinions during our panel. We covered topics such as internationalisation with Shopify Plus, re-platforming decisions and the criteria you should consider as well automation in business.
Our goal was to provide our guests with genuine feedback about what it’s like to be a merchant using Shopify Plus so they could start to form their own opinion about whether or not it could be a good fit for their business. We wanted this to be a no-pressure, no-sell situation where questions and discussions were encouraged between merchants.
